-- Chinese calligraphy lessons for beginners. Free! Over the past week, my female dragon has been acting a little sluggish. She was in brumation for awhile, but that ended about a month ago. I took her out today and gave her a bath. I noticed that she had a build up of what looked like a mix of urate and sand around her anal pore. She has been eating like a horse and continues to do so. Veggies are almost always fresh but are occasionally frozen. Her crickets are always gutloaded at home by me and are fed a diet of fresh veggies and flukers cricket feed. I have a female and a male bearded dragon caged together and this past Saturday (May 14th) she laid eggs. I am pretty sure that they are furtile eggs, but that is not my problem. My female has not started to eat again after laying the eggs. Okay, that is my setup. Despite all of this, my beardie is showing two digits on his right-front foot swelling, as well as part of his forearm, but no discoloration. His rear right foot is also swollen somewhat, with his longest digit sticking out. But I was using a plastic bin and a under water heater. and in here in Arizona its getting real hot. so anyways i keep the incubator in my closet and i haven't gone in there for a while, and when i looked all the water was gone so i put about 8 gallons of water back in and i notice the heater melted a big whole in the plastic and the water was all over my carpet. And when i looked at the eggs they were all dented and half deflated. so i put them in a glass tank and up the humidity to where it almost makes a rain cloud and some of them got plump again. It has almost been a week. My boyfriend seems to think that our male is being to dominate over the food that we put in the cage. We have tried to separate them and she just doesn't seem to be interested in any of the food, this concerns me because she was a pig before she laid the eggs even before we had the male. What should I do, please help I will try anything. There is a cut on the sole of this foot which I have been cleaning every day with medical disinfectant swabs that the vet prescribed for reptile usage. I have had him at the vets for x-rays, and all his bones appear to be strong, no breakage anywhere. He had a bout of coccidia and pinworms last year that the vet prescribed Albon and Panacur, which was followed up with Acidophiliz to get his gut-flora rebalanced. |
